Australian Master of Education courses offer a Master's degree offered by many universities around the world. The same is true of a Master of Science or a Master of Arts but offered for study organized in an educational setting. In many European countries such as Germany or the Netherlands, for example, the Master of Education passes the status quo and allows graduates to do teacher work in public schools. The Master of Education is not entirely limited to courses aimed at educating school teachers. Also, structured topics and education-related programs can be offered through the Master of Education.
At the University of Wollongong, Master of Education (Higher Education) is the one who leads and manages teaching in the context of higher education. As program manager, curriculum coordinator, department head or organizational unit leader in higher education, you will get benefit from a comprehensive understanding of the effective teaching and learning practices offered by this grade. This grade provides sound theoretical foundations as well as broad practical skills that address the broader aspects of education and training. You will have the opportunity to add input from other fields of education such as Educational Leadership, or Information and Technology in Education and Training (ICT), to align your qualifications and career goals.
This degree includes studying leadership in Education within a global context, teaching and learning theory and practice, curriculum development and assessment, and technology in education. During this Australian graduate degree, you will develop investigative and problem-solving skills in a rapidly changing educational environment and conduct a research project relevant to your career, interests, and learning specialist. The course consists of two modules, each module containing compulsory teaching overview within your HE centers. As you will look at observations within your institution as part of the quality assurance processes and support for your ongoing development, this observation will focus more on evaluating your practice in relation to related learning outcomes within modules.
