INTERSTATE MOVES
This option must be offered by moving companies for FREE. Claims for loss or damage are based on the item’s weight multiplied by $0.60 per pound.
With this valuation option, if any article is lost, destroyed or damaged while in the hands of a moving company, the moving company must offer to do one of the following for each item:
- Repair the item
- Replace with a similar item
- Make a cash settlement for the cost of the repair or the current market replacement value
Under this option, the moving company is permitted to limit its liability for loss or damage to articles of extraordinary value, unless you specifically list these articles on the shipping documents. An article of extraordinary value is any item whose value exceeds $100 per pound (such as jewelry, silverware, china, furs, antiques).
The FVP option costs extra.
You can obtain an insurance policy for your move from companies specializing in such policies. Check if your renter's or home owner's insurance covers any losses during a relocation process.
MOVES WITHIN CALIFORNIA
With this valuation option, if any article is lost, destroyed or damaged while in our hands, we will either repair or offer a cash settlement based on the assessed current market value of the item(s).

As per the State regulations in California, this coverage is included for each move free of charge. Claims for loss or damage are based on the item’s weight multiplied by $0.60 per pound.
With this valuation option, if any article is lost, destroyed or damaged while in our hands, we will either repair or replace the item with items of like kind and quality. Or, you will get a cash settlement for the current market value of your items, regardless of their age. With Full Value coverage, we include the option to add a deductible to the policy. The deductible options are as follows:
