SELF-PACKING TIPS
If you want to save money on your move, you may want to pack some of your own items. Here are some tips:
- Use only strong, corrugated cartons with tops. Boxes, wrapping paper are available from different sources. You may order such supplies from us. We have all the moving supplies you will need.
- Heavy-duty packaging tape for sealing cartons.
- Markers and labels for identifying contents of cartons.
- Pack one room at a time.
- Do not overload boxes.
Always pack heavier items toward the bottom of the box and lighter items toward the top.
DON’T PACK THESE ITEMS
- Money, securities, valuable papers or jewelry. Keep them with you.
- Flammable items: aerosol cans, paints, gasoline, etc.
- Perishable times: frozen foods, produce, plants, etc.
- Soaps, polishes or medicines with foods.
